Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, and it helps to know what the process looks like. Here's what you need to know before your first appointment.

We're currently accepting new clients. You can refer yourself, or we welcome referrals from:

• Family physicians and other allied health professionals
• Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC)
• Insurance providers

Our fees follow the recommended hourly rate set by the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (APNS) — currently $225/hour for Registered Psychologists.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and e-transfer.

Psychological services are not covered by MSI in Nova Scotia, but many private and employer group health plans do include coverage. We recommend reviewing your plan before your first appointment.

We offer direct billing to Medavie Blue Cross. For all other insurers, we provide receipts so you can submit for reimbursement yourself.

Initial Assessment: 90 minutes (billed at the clinician's hourly rate)

Follow-up Sessions: 50 minutes of therapy + 10 minutes of reporting time
