Trinda received her Master of Science degree from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, NS. She is a Registered Clinical Psychologist, licensed with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP), and has worked in hospital outpatient mental health, community-based and private settings over the past 23 years.
Recognizing the importance of the therapeutic alliance, her approach to treatment is client-centered and collaborative and involves a variety of modalities including cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, supportive and mindfulness-based. She has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma/Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
She also assesses and treats acute and chronic pain. Her areas of practice include: depression and anxiety management, trauma/PTSD, adjustment disorders and pain and stress management.
Eileen received her Ph.D. from the University of Calgary, as well as her Masters in Applied Clinical Psychology from Memorial University in Newfoundland.
Eileen has extensive experience in treating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD). She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic approaches and hypnosis/guided imagery. She also takes a mindfulness-based approach to treatment, offering treatment interventions for depression, anxiety and panic, sleep issues and grief/loss.
In her spare time, Eileen can most often be found engaging in her passion for photography.
Craig received his Masters of Education in Counselling from Acadia University and a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University. He has worked in the business community for over 20 years, and in both private and public mental health and addictions settings.
Craig has training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for mood disorders and addictions. His approach to treatment is solution-focused, client-centered and collaborative.
When not at work, Craig enjoys spending time with his family, walking his dogs, reading a good book, golfing and cycling.
Steve received his Masters of Social Work degree from Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and he is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW). He has worked as a therapist with an adult population in a hospital setting over the past six years. Prior to that, Steve worked as a youth care worker with children and adolescents at the IWK Health Centre.
Steve has experience with helping people cope with stress and with historical trauma. He has training in the treatment of anxiety, addictions and mood disorders using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with a special interest in the treatment of Social Anxiety. Steve’s approach to treatment is that of a partnership model, working with clients to build a personalized treatment plan to help them achieve their goals.
In his free time, Steve enjoys playing music and mountain biking with friends and family.
Kevin received his Master of Arts degree in School and Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Toronto. He is a Registered Psychologist, licensed with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP), and has worked in school and community-based settings over the past twenty-five years.
Kevin works with children, teens, and young adults. His areas of practice include: cognitive behavioural interventions for anxiety and depression, psychoeducational assessment of ADHD and learning disabilities, behavioural consultation for disruptive behaviour disorders, and social-emotional and prosocial skill development. Kevin is also involved in professional development and he has taught Psychological Assessment and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) at the university level.
Kevin is very community-minded. Over the past twenty years, he has volunteered as a basketball coach for boys and girls at the U16, U14, U12, U10, and U7 levels. Currently, he is the president of the Truro Titans Youth Basketball Association.
Nivea received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Madras University in India and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tamil Nadu University in India. She also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Mental Health from Niagara College in Ontario. Nivea is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW). She has worked in outpatient mental health settings for over 10 years and has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Nivea has training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Integrative Sex and Couples Therapy and Solution-focused therapy. Her approach to treatment is client-centered and collaborative.
When not at work, Nivea likes to spend time in nature.
Lilly is the Practice Manager at Power Psychological Services. She graduated from St. Mary's University and completed her certificate for Administration Assistant at Loyalist College. She has worked in office administration for over 12 years, with the last seven in the medical field.
